Gaso is the flagship of San Rustico's single-vineyard line, and the 2015 has had plenty of time to settle.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eSan Rustico has made wine in Valgatara di Marano, in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, since 1870; brothers Marco and Enrico Campagnola are the fifth generation. Gaso is a single vineyard. Its Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes are dried on wooden racks under the roof for about three months, fermented, then aged for around three years in large oak and barriques and a further year in bottle.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eRich and warm: plums, dark cherry and a touch of bitter almond, then clove, liquorice and a light raisiny note, with fine tannins and a long finish.
