Monvigliero is a south-facing hillside of about 230 to 300 metres, and the family's vines there average around 40 years. Only a selected portion goes into this Barolo, about 5,000 bottles a year, made in a traditional way from 100% Nebbiolo.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eMonvigliero is known for elegance: lifted aromas of rose and red fruit, spice, and tannins that are firm but polished rather than brutal. The 2019 is drinking well now and will keep for many years.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eDecant an hour ahead and serve at 18°C.
